An Author Preface | Sudha Sikrawar

“EVERYWHERE TRAFFIC IS JAM”

Presenting the feelings that come in my mind and conscience in the form of poetry, stories or novels is my identity.

I am an author, while introducing myself I am first talking about books and their printing process and reading them. Any writer who writes stories, novels, essays or poems has the responsibility to present the inequalities and equalities seen in society to the society through his/her writings.

First of all let’s know about the process of publishing a book. During initial times there was only one way to get a book published and that was the traditional way. But there was a huge crowd and it is still the same. It means that any writer has to work very hard and stand in a long queue to bring his/her book to the readers and even after this, publishing of that book was always questionable. Looking at the complexities of traditional publishing the era of self publishing bloomed. I am not talking about its history right now. There is a writer in every person, but not everyone who writes is a writer. In self publishing the writer is free to say whatever he/she wants and is responsible for all the consequences.

There is a long queue in traditional publishing and a flood in self-publishing too. More than 11,000 books are published every day all over the world. Does everyone read or can they read so many books? ( If there is so much knowledge in these books and in this world, then why is our society heading towards downfall?). Social media has provided many platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and many more to communicate and express our feelings and thoughts directly. Most of the time on these mentioned Platforms many have to face unrestrained arguments on multiple ideas. Because of these intemperate arguments, websites have become a convenient and more comfortable platform to convey our thoughts and writing.

Website is just like our home from where we can communicate our thoughts directly.

Today, everywhere is jammed. Huge crowed or I say precisely, we have created jams everywhere, in that crowd we get a little free space in our house and outside the door of the house. Using this space we can convey our message to the crowd. Jam in nature, jam on roads, jam of thoughts as a result no space is left on our earth. We will talk on every topic as per the time from this small space. You are always welcome to share your views in this small house of mine.

That’s all in my introduction today.

This phase of introduction will continue tomorrow as well.

Jam is everywhere.

what do you say?
